Neuropsych Testing
Our licensed Psychologists administer norm-referenced tests and assessments for a wide variety of reasons. Children who are experiencing academic or behavioral difficulties may undergo testing for learning disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Tests for skills such as dexterity, reaction time, and memory can help diagnose conditions such as brain injuries or dementia in adults.
Neuropsychological Assessment is used to measure an individual’s cognitive functioning and brain health. The abilities tested include reading, language usage, attention, learning, processing speed, reasoning, remembering, problem-solving, mood, and personality functioning. Our agency accepts pediatric and adult patients with a broad variety of neurodevelopmental issues such as learning disabilities and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), stroke, traumatic brain injury, executive functioning deficits, and dementia.
Educational and ADHD Assessment can provide information regarding an individual’s specific learning style, academic strengths and weaknesses, academic decline, and behavioral issues such as inattention, loss of concentration, poor organization, hyperactivity, low motivation, work struggles, impulsivity, or low frustration tolerance. A comprehensive psychological report is provided to assist in eligibility for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 plan.
Accommodation Assessment – Psychoeducational testing can help college or graduate school students, who may be struggling academically with continuing issues. After a thorough identification of symptoms, an appropriate diagnosis is provided along with the best course of treatment that may include ADHD treatment, medication, or school accommodations, including those for ACT, SAT, GRE, LSAT, or MCAT.
