Born and raised in Los Angeles, Efrain Kuk is a compassionate and dedicated bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Efrain earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cal State LA and went onto complete his graduate studies in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy at Cal State Long Beach.
Throughout his career, Efrain has worked in a variety of clinical settings (community mental health centers, private practice, and outpatient clinics) and has demonstrated the ability to utilize professional counseling techniques to meet the needs of people with varied backgrounds, cultures, ages, orientations and other diverse qualities.
Known for their empathetic approach and collaborative spirit, Efrain creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings openly. They are skilled and trained in utilizing the top recommended evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
Outside of work, Efrain enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, staying active and rooting for the local sports teams. Sports and exercise are not just hobbies but integral parts of Efrain’s life and routine, keeping him physically and mentally fit.
