Psychological Evaluation
Mental Health Assessment
- Diagnostic Clarification – Psychodiagnostic testing is used to help clarify concerns regarding behavior, personality traits, mood, emotional functioning, and cognitive processes. This extensive process is often helpful to differentiate between various diagnoses and identify the psychological contributions that may confound treatment. The report is often used to answer specific referral questions such as diagnostic clarification, documenting multiple coexisting psychological disorders, and exploring the impact of psychosocial stressors on adaptive functioning.
- Disability Evaluation – A thorough evaluation to determine the impact of disability status significantly affects one’s ability to access appropriate resources in the community including financial remuneration, workplace productivity, and access for existing and future health care needs. Our licensed psychologists have many years of experience in performing evaluations and provide comprehensive reports in support of eligibility for short term and permanent disability.
- Immigration Evaluation – For some waivers or petitions, your attorney might request a psychological evaluation in order to help build a stronger case. These may include cases of extreme psychological hardship, political asylum, victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, or serious crimes causing substantial mental or emotional trauma. In addition, individuals petitioning for waivers of citizenship examination due to a cognitive or intellectual disability could benefit from psychological testing by a licensed psychologist.
Employment Assessment
- Fitness for Duty (FFD) is a mental health evaluation in which a licensed psychologist performs tests and provides feedback about an employee’s mental fitness to perform a specific job.
- Return to Duty evaluation may be required by an employer in situations when an employee has violated a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol program regulation. Our certified substance abuse professionals (SAP) will perform the evaluation and make recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
