Ying holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and went on to receive a master’s degree in social work at California State University, Long Beach. She has experience working in medical social work, oncology, chronic pain, and community mental health.
Ying specializes in working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, grief and loss, and womanhood. Her theoretical orientation is systems theory with a strength-based framework that is rooted in a person-centered approach. She utilizes mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment, and solution focused modalities.
Healing is a sacred journey, and she firmly believes everyone can benefit from a safe space to be vulnerable and process or explore these feelings. Ying values the connection between the mind, body, and spirit and strives to help you discover a balance of your own.
